On 12th and 13th May 2011, Guntur Branch is organising two day CPE program for Members in ADVANCED EXCEL.

You are cordially invited for two days work shop on Advanced Excel on 12.05.2011and 13.05.2011 of MAY 2011 at our branch premises. The work shop timings start 10 A.M -5 P.M on both days.

Both days will be dealt with practical illustrations faced by CAs in their day-to-day practice

The subject will be dealt while sitting with the individual computer

Work shop will be held at ITT Lab in our branch premises.

Each work shop is limited to 28 members.

@ CA. R. Mohanraj (Karur):  - Todays Class was very useful for day to day office work. Please provide some other advanced formulas and calculation for regular office work in the next session.

@...................................:  - Today's seminar is useful to all of us. I am not experienced in Excel. The Class encourage me to learn new things in the System.

@ CA. N. Thangavel:  - The Session was generally interesting. It seems we should have one more day for this topic. Problems like IT Calclation and partners remuneration were really interesting and it would be better it they are included in the backgound material. Provision of 15-minutes reading time to the candidates of Chartered Accountants Examinations

(Effective from May-2011 CA Examinations)

The Council of the Institute, based on the recommendation of the Examination Committee has decided to allow 15-minute reading time to the candidates in the Chartered Accountants Examinations before the scheduled commencement of the examinations i.e, if the examination commences from 2.00 PM, then the candidates will be given Question Papers at 1.45 PM. This reading time will not be available for CPT and all post qualification Courses Examinations.


The objective of providing question paper 15 minutes before the scheduled time is to:

(i) Enable the candidates to read the question paper thoroughly (without encroaching on the examination duration) and

(ii) Chalk out the strategy to answer the questions.

Candidates are required to note the following in this regard:

(1) The candidates will not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall under any circumstances from 1.45 PM to 3.00 PM.

(2) The candidates shall be allowed to enter the hall from 1.30 PM upto 2.30 PM only.

Any breach of the above requirements would be treated as adopting Unfair Means by the students concerned and applicable disciplinary action would be taken on such erring students.
